Inaugurada no século 19, a elegante e delicada casa em estilo italiano recebe espetáculos até hoje. O espaço abriga 47 camarotes, três níveis de galerias e 214 cadeiras, todas de palhinha. Entre os visitantes ilustres constam os nomes de D. Pedro I e D. Pedro II. O teatro possui uma das melhores acústicas da América Latina e apresenta uma atividade regular, tanto na música de câmara quanto no repertório operístico, que tem sido apresentado com freqüência na atual gestão da Secretaria de Cultura de Sabará.

Opened in the 19th century, the elegant and delicate style house receives Italian performances to date. The space has 47 cabins, three levels of galleries and 214 seats, all straw. Among the distinguished visitors included the names of D. Peter I and D. Peter II. The theater has one of the best speakers in Latin America and presents a regular activity, both in chamber music as in the operatic repertoire, which has often been presented in the current management of the Secretariat of Culture of Sabara.
